Yu-lin Chen received his Master of Architecture degree (with distinction) from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2002. During his time at Harvard, he was awarded The Araldo Cossutta Annual Prize for Design Excellence (Core Prize). From 2002 to 2006, he worked at William Rawn Associates, Architects in Boston, USA.
In 2010, together with Malone Chang, he founded MAYU architects, an interdisciplinary practice based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He received the Taiwan Outstanding Architects Award from the Ministry of the Interior in 2019. He is a registered architect in both Taiwan and Massachusetts, USA.
In addition to his professional practice, he is active in workshops, review panels, and lectures. He has served as a visiting design critic at National Cheng Kung University since 2006.
陳玉霖建築師於 1995 年畢業於國立成功大學建築系，2002 年取得美國哈佛大學設計學院建築碩士學位（with distinction）。就讀哈佛期間獲頒 Araldo Cossutta 年度傑出設計獎（Core Prize）。2002 至 2006 年間，任職於波士頓 William Rawn 聯合建築師事務所。
陳玉霖具備台灣及美國麻州註冊建築師資格，自 2006 年起擔任成功大學建築系兼任教師。2010 年與張瑪龍建築師於高雄合組 MAYU architects。團隊作品曾發表於國內外建築專業媒體，並受邀參加建築展覽。2019 年，陳玉霖獲頒第十六屆中華民國傑出建築師獎，該團隊亦獲得中華民國傑出建築師事務所獎。
